I really miss the old square site where I could have text above the items for sale. I used it to make announcements about certain product sales (like for instance, the cut-off for Mother's Day orders is Thursday May 7). Currently, I don't see a way to do this.
One of my bakery friends does seem to have a different page option than I do. Here is a link to the page I'm talking about: https://the-sweetside.square.site/-2020
The other pages seem too look like mine, where it's just a page of items. But the "2020" page has an announcemnt at the top and then the items look different. Another business owner friend of mine has a page that looks like that, but she isn't sure why that's an option.
Here is my site: https://sugarlabbakeshop.square.site/
Can someone help me with this?

Thanks for your post, @sugarlab. It looks like your friend's site using the featured menu items section on a regular page, rather than the shop all page. If you create a regular page and add that section you'll be able to add text to the top in addition to other sections.
