Subscriber button on default start up screeen

When I started creating a site it came with a "STAY UPDATED" section where people can enter their email.  5 people have added their email and now people can't enter their email.  

I am new at this.  How can I get additional people to be able to subscribe?  How do they actually get updates?  Do I need to email all of them?

There should be no limit on the number of people that can use that form and submit their email address, @Karen4Him. 

If you test the form, can you submit your own email address?

I submitted my own email and it didn't work either.

Can you try publishing your site again, clearing your browser cache, then entering your email address again?
