Social Icons Don't Show

Hi all,

I am trying to add social icons to my site using the "social icons" feature. I am able to add the container to my site, however no icons show up, even after I have turned them on and created the appropriate links.

Please advise.

I couldn't find where you had added them to your site, @bungeejumper2. Did you remove them for the time being?

Hi @Adam - the social icons are placed on the homepage, just under the "R2AK 2017" button. At this point it is just a facebook icon that I have linked, and the icon shows up very small on my iPhone, but not at all on desktop.

Oh, you're right. I scrolled too fast and missed them. I see both icons in Chrome and Safari. What browser are you using on your desktop?

I am now seeing icons in ms edge and safari, but not in chrome. I have tried clearing my cache.

Hmm... Do you have any browser add-ons/plugins/extensions installed in Chrome?

That did it, thanks! Adblock Plus was blocking some elements of my site.

Hi, sorry to revive an old thread but I'm having the same issue. AdBlock hides all my social icons (top-right corner, and very bottom of the page: https://www.mattglanville.com/).

Now, I can easily disable AdBlock myself, but I'm concerned because I don't want visitors to have to disable it when there are no ads on my site, just to see the social icons. Also, how will they even know what they're missing?

This seems like a false positive. Is there any fix for it?

It does seem like a false positive. Can you report false positives to AdBlock? That seems like the best bet to make sure that it's removed from their block list for everyone.

hi! I also faced the same problem, which is my social icon don't show when I am building my website. i have removed all the extensions, add-ons, plug-ins at google chrome, but still the icons not appear.

how can i fix this?

Hi @nabilahalyani1 I see your social media icons at the bottom of your site. Are you still having trouble with this? Can you please try opening the editor in a private/incognito window?

I have the same issue that nabilahalyani1 had - while building the site no social icons appear after dragging from sidebar.

I am using Firefox on a Mac OS 10.11.6

I think you confirmed on a different thread that you are using a Weebly site through a third party host? I recommend reaching out to them directly since we do not have access to your account or editor to troubleshoot. Apologies for any inconvenience.
