Slideshow Image Upload Bug
Hello.
I'm currently trying to include a slideshow on my site, but the actual issue concerns uploading the images within the element. If I upload 10 images with the slideshow element, one image is always skipped during the upload process, leaving 9 uploaded images. I always have to hunt for the skipped 10th image and individually upload it, which is becoming extremely annoying. All of the images I am trying to use are exactly the same resolution and are similar in filesize so there is absolutely no reason for one image of the same batch to be skipped while uploading. I am using the latest version of Firefox but this issue also occurs in Google Chrome.
Expectedly, uploading 9 images replicates the issue as well. Only 8 of the 9 selected photos are successfully uploaded, in which I would have to individually upload the 9th photo that was inexplicably skipped. I presume this issue also occurs when uploading even lesser amounts of images.
I stopped batch uploading photos and reduced them to 10 at a time because a more serious bug occurs while uploading several photos at once, which involves the images being duplicated for another bizarre reason. The uploading process for the slideshow element really needs to be streamlined.
I also notice that the image upload counter is ahead by one number while uploading, as opposed to the actual uploaded images shown in the field, which is a clear indication that an image is being skipped for whatever reason.
I would hope that someone is able to examine or replicate this issue in Weebly so this bug can be corrected.

Hi, @Lupin_III!
Sorry to hear about this, but thank you for providing such a detailed account of the issue. That is most helpful!
Are all of the image files the same type? Is it always the same image that isn't showing up?
Thanks,
Erin

You are very welcome, Erin.
All of the images in question are the same filetype, and because all of the images contain different content despite being the same size and type, no it is not always the same image that is skipped during uploading. It is always one less than the total amount of images being uploaded.

If you upload the same 10 images in two groups of 5, does the same thing happen @Lupin_III? If so, is it the same image that doesn't upload or a different one?

Yes Adam, the exact same thing happens. I said earlier that one less of the amount of total images is always uploaded; i.e. only 4 of 5 selected images for uploading are only done so successfully. It's not the same image because only one of the selected amount of images is skipped during the process in a random fashion. None of the images I am trying to upload are at all problematic; the only thing that differentiates them is the variation of filesize and what the images are of.

Thanks for clarifying, @Lupin_III. Can you submit a ticket to our support team so they can investigate further?

It's September 2018 and I get the same behaviour. I would expect that this would have been fixed by now.
PS You obviously know by now that the missing file, whicever it may be, is perfectly ok as it uploads correctly on its own during round 2 of uploads...

There was an issue that cropped up this weekend that caused that to happen. Can you try again, @GThalassinos? It should work better this time, but let me know if it still does it. Sorry for the trouble!

You are right Adam, it behaves well, now that I gave it a try. Thanks for replying.
