Image Bug (Lightbox Enabled)

My images won't get bigger when clicked on. I know this was a bug a few days ago, but it's still not resolved on my websites.

Have you re-published recently, @AdamC? I know that in order for the fix to be applied to your live site you'll need to re-publish.

I saw that re-published fixed a lot of accounts a few days ago and so I re-reublished and it didn't work.

I just did it again. image

I am now having what I believe is the same problem described here - that many of my images are no longer expanding when left-clicked.  It seems to be somewhat random throughout the website.  Some of the images were loaded as long ago as 5 years and worked up until this point.

I have contacted Weebly customer support regarding this and I am treated as if these images NEVER expanded, i.e. it's my fault that I somehow loaded them wrong (and never noticed until now, 5 years later!?)  I know this isn't the case, but obviously I cannot "prove" this to Weebly customer support!  It is suggested that I "just" reload all the damaged images ............ not a small job!!

Yes, I have recently re-published the website, so that option as a fix apparently doesn't work.  Please, PLEASE, does anyone have any way for me to fix this problem short of replacing all the damaged images??!!!  And does anyone have a way to insure that such a change will not happen to my website all over again???!!!!

Thanks,  Roberta  (my website is www.thelifeandtimesofannestelle.com)

There were certain things in the past that would cause an image to lose the lightbox feature (resizing the image after having enabled the option and published, for example), although if it was working before and you haven't done anything with it then it should still work. Do you have an example image on your site that isn't working? I checked some on your homepage but every image I checked was working.

Adam, thanks for answering.  If you go to the pull down menu under "the Ann Estelle story & ..." and open the 1999-2001 page, just about every drawen image there is broken, except for the very first one (1996 Home Companion....)  (It works because at the request of the Weebly support person Christian, I sent the original file that I originally used to fill the spot and Christian then used it to replace the broken image, saying "see, it works now" [VERY helpful!])  These drawing-next-to-doll pages are where the highest concentration of broken images are but they are also scattered throughout the other pages, like furniture, hair styles, Firefly Girls, etc.  The lowest concentration of broken images appears to be on the home page = blog.  Thanks.  Roberta

I see what you mean, @RobertaR. Unfortunately, I don't really see a way to fix them all at once other than re-uploading the images. I can appreciate the amount of work it will take to do that, though, so I've extended your Pro subscription for free to compensate for the hassle.

Oh poop!  But thanks for being more understanding than Christian!  And thanks for the subscription extension.  I guess I'll be staying up during my midnight-to-5AM-free-gigabyte-time on my satelite connection to correct this ...sigh.  Any recommendations at all for how to prevent it from happening again???   Thanks.  Roberta

It shouldn't have happened in the first place - if I had to surmise a guess it might have been something funky that came up during the image editor upgrade, although I don't see why that would affect an image unless you had at least tried to edit it. I don't think it'll be a problem for you in the future, though. Sorry for the trouble!
