Sayonara, Weebly

Sigh. I don't want to leave, because I've put a huge time investment into my Weebly site—but alas, I can't make it do what I want. I've downloaded almost a half-dozen apps, spent hours composing clearly-worded questions for this forum, watched third-party tutorials, etc., but I can't make it look the way I want it to on desktop and mobile.

More significantly, I just can't justify paying 35 bucks a month for services that cost little to nothing elsewhere—like a true drag and drop interface, a separate mobile-view editor, SSL.  I can't pay by the year, because I'm too poor to have $300 at once. I'm a job seeker/freelancer, and this site was supposed to aid my job search.

So I'm preparing to switch to Wix, even though I hate their obnoxious commercials. Not here to bitch though, really. Just want to thank those who have posted helpful replies to my questions, and put my reasons "on the record" for any Weebly execs who might wish to improve things.

@Hilcandoit

Just a quickie but you mention SSL?   SSL is now available on all plans at no cost.! Just go to Settings>General and enable SSL!

Also - just wondering what plan you are on that is costing you $35 per month??

I just renewed my starter package for 2 years at $3.50/month. Starbucks costs more than that.

Sorry to hear that, @Hilcandoit. I think that you mobile site would be resolved by switching to a standard theme, and as others have said you can downgrade your plan and use SSL since it's free for all plans now. Were you intending to sell through your site? If not you could drop your plan to Pro, or even Starter.
