I've got mine all set to, I think it's "Basic". Whichever is the first paid one, and that lets you edit the footer and add a domain. The more expensive options you can look at if you'd use what they offer, but if you're just looking for the footer edits, the cheapest option will do it.

If you upgrade your site, you don't need to use a hack code to do it. That was never allowed, Weebly just didn't close the hack that allowed people to do it. They closed it now. If you pay for the upgraded site, you can edit the footer or remove it without special codes.

I myself used the codes. However, I feel like I pay Weebly enough for my professional sites that I shouldn't have to pay to remove the footer from hobby sites as well. I feel like a footer removal should be a one time fee for ALL sites on the account, that would make more sense. As of now, I guess I just won't sharing those hobby site links, as I don't care enough about them to upgrade them just to remove the footer, since I don't use any other part of the upgrade.

I honestly didnt know it wanst allowed. I thought we could edit the code has we wished.

I dont have any problem in paying monthly, I trully honestly love weebly and if they think this is for the best I have, again, no problem in paying monthly to even has a support for their plateform. Thank you for the reply.

Best Regards.

@hallo0:  Well, look at it this way.  You have some reason to remove the footer.  Weebly has a reason to make money.  Removing weebly branding on a free site is kind of like stealing.  Now with new themes they have hard wired the code so it has become difficult - they have learned to protect their IP.  Also, upfrading is per site not per account.  Just because you have paid for a site or two does not entitle you to free stuff.  It will be like saying,"Oh I give enough business to Walmart so let me put few things in my pocket".  If you are serious go with a 2 year plan.  Your monthly cost would be less than a latte/month.

You do realize this is the official Weebly forum, yes? Any post containing information to get around the safeguards in place set by Weebly could result in the post being removed, and/or the users involved getting their websites taken down. No one will risk that.

If you are truly unhappy that Weebly won't offer other options as I suggested in another feature request that was declined, then put your money where your mouth is, as I am, and move those sites to a new provider. Otherwise, these are Weebly's rules and to use their service, we must abide by them.

It is possible to control the size and positioning of the background image on the mobile site through CSS overrides to some extent, @jplogistic. How familiar are you with CSS?
