Parallax scroll effect not working on smart phone mobile view and background is zoom right in.

Hello,

I am having a problem with the mobile version of my website. When looking at the mobile view through the editor everything looks perfect, just the way its supposed to be.

But when viewing from an actually smart phone the parallax background scrolling effect does not work and the back ground is zoomed in and slighty distorted.

Any Advice?

Sorry if it's getting a bit "spammy" I can see that there's a comment from Adam two weeks ago stating there's no movement here but just commenting to place my interest in this as I would love the parallax to work on the mobile version of my site.

Looking forward to seeing some some movement with the issue Smiley Happy

Happy Birthday mobile parallax issue on Weebly. Sorry I was a few months late.

Bearing in mind this issue seems destined to have many more birthdays to come, can someone please point us to the workaround? I'm presuming we just design the mobile site from scratch?

Yet another user here wondering why in the world parallax isn't working on mobile? And why Weebly would offer a preview of parallax on mobile when it doesn't work?

I will pile on and say that I have spent some time on these forums and it doesn't seem that Weebly fixes things. Rather, users share work-arounds with each other. Is that the Weebly ethic, to let their customers fix their product for them for free? I have seen crucial issues such as logo resolution go unanswered for over a year.

Why don't we see updates about these user issues?

Yeah wow! Same deal here. It's been two years almost since the issue has been brought to Weebly's attention. With over 65% of people using mobile phones to view webpages, doesn't Weebly see this as significant enough to take action!

Fixing the parallax function on mobile devices is vital so that the background images don't automatically zoom in and create a shocking replica of your desk top site!

Yeah this is a bit rediculous. Although there must be some wasy to enable it using css. I have been browsing and I believe it is possible.

Weebly, please help by providing a working parallax solution for mobile devices to match the desktop offering.  From what I have read on multiple threads related to this, your users would be reasonably happy in many cases if the images that worked as parallax images on desktops could be seen in full on mobiles, even if they were not functioning in parallax on mobiles.  That is a second-best solution, the first being working parallax images on mobile devices.

I just discovered this issue after spending almost a month developing my first Weebly web site and in the process of conducting a quick live test on the site.  Now I feel I have an unpleasant choice - leave Weebly or make all images static.  Images only partly showing on mobiles is unacceptable, as is recoding the whole mobile portion of the site to avoid Weebly's mobile engine.  Incidentally, I chose Weebly in part as it supposedly simplified some of the routine but heavy lifting.  Please help.  At this point I am beginning to think my money was not well spent, and I will need to move to another provider.

Many thanks
