CAUTION - Weeblys started to add text & forms on sites

Today we noticed that Weebly has added some text at the end of our forms "I agree to receiving marketing and promotional materials *. This is not our text!  In the editor we cannot remove this either. How dare you. This is our website and you are deciding what we want from our visitors? And you want all of OUR visitors to 'mandatorily' check this box before they can push submit button?

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED.

ALL WEEBLY CLIENTS - check your forms immediately!

We added the option to enable that a while back, but I haven't heard about any changes which should have auto-enabled this for a form. Was this a new form you added? I could see it being on by default for a new form.

You should be able to disable that using the options for the form element, though:

Adam thanks for taking the time but  - just like you have unilateraly decided to add google captcha to all forms of your clients - you are enabling  opt-in 'by default'  in new forms instead of giving it as a choice to your clients.

Moreoever, if we wanted to collect consent of our visitor for direct marketing, one cannot even change the text (which in a legal situation would create lot of headache for your customers. Afterall WE are responsible for what appears on our websites.)

Where is this configuration?  Can I use this to not make the checkbox for receiving promotional materials required when registering?
