You may consider hosting your images else where and link them.  All economical hosting providers will compress your images.

Hi! I'm using Weebly Designer Platform, i've upgraded to Business Plan for my client's website, but it's been a week, the upload still compressing the hi-res photo (only 1mb) to low-res blury images. It shouldn't happen, please fix it ASAP, Thanks

I dunno what info to provide you, maybe u can check on my account.

Just set the Pro & business plan to hi-res upload enable,

or u could go to my account look for:

Hi @Daniel-Designer Not all of your images are blurry on the site. What is the exact page the image in the screenshot is on? I'm not seeing it in the editor.

Hi Daniel,

I was having the same issue and found a workaround.

The images are only compressed if they are JPG. I saved mine as PNG and it stopped!

Sharp as a tack!

I hope you can do it and it works for you.

Cheers,

Angela

How recently did you add these photos? Our engineers made some tweaks to increase the quality of uploaded images, though it wouldn't affect anything that was already uploaded in the past.

I have kind of the same problem, I'm uploading my logo at exactly the right dimension that I want it in pixels and it looks so bad on my website. Why are you modifing it ? It really doesn't need to !
The file I'm uploading is 750x350 px and 62kb only so can you please explain to me why it's looking like this :

You need to propose the option of having the original size when you modify the photo in the weebly interface. And you need to stop processing the image when the wheight of the file is acceptable. Just leave it as it is !

Please do something quickly, I have to deliver this webite to my client and she is paying for you service !

Hi Adam,

Has there been any progress regarding the low quality appearance of photos onWeebly? Like others, I find the photos on my site look really low res. This has always been the case.

Furthermore, in recent months (perhaps only the last 6 months) I now find the colours are badly mismanaged. They're extremely desaturated. This wasn't always the case. I have screengrabs that can illustrate the difference between photos uploaded in the past and photos uploaded more recently.

FWIW, my photos are RGB, my colour space is sRG, and I've tried various files sizes but it makes no odds. As soon as the photos are uploaded they appear to undergo auto-processing which ruins them – the effect is visible in the Weebly editor page prior to publishing.

As a photographer the whole point of having a Weebly website is to showcase my work the way I want it to be seen. Please can you let me know if there's a solution?

thanks

Jonny

My mobile homepage photo is so blurry it hurts to look/read at my labels. Unfortunate because most people browse on their phones & I gave up a professional website to DIY.... & it definitely looks DIY with a blurry homepage.

How large is your original background, @DesireeD? Most background images should look great on mobile as long as they are big enough.

Sorry for the long delay, @Daniel-Designer! I didn't see you previous responses. Can you check the file type to see if you are uploading .jpg or .png?

I've got the same problem 😕 I've worked out that the pics look blurry when using chrome but fine on safari & firefox. Is anyone having the same issue? It's any chrome browser that i use...not just mine.
