Facebook likes disappear
All facebook likes have disappeared in the blog. It has happened before while I changed the http to https, but now they disappeared just like that. How to get them back as 0 likes is quite sad...?

Thanks for your post, @kpk. Did you change your site address or blog page URL? Likes are tied to the URL of the post, so if anything with that changes then the like count will update to reflect the new URL.

It is not connected to a change of address. My site and blog are at the same address for years now. Suddenly it began at the end of September.

I am having the same issue on two of my websites: one of which hasn't been updated in almost 2 weeks (Soul Salve).
All of the likes on all of our pages and blogs have been removed. We haven't changed any URLS on either site. I only updated the blog on AmeriPodcast over the weekend.
I noticed this over the weekend, not sure when it actually occurred.
Is there a way to reload our likes? Some of them had been accumulated for over a year.. this is very disappointing.
thank you,
Blake

I'm checking with our advanced support team, @soulsalve and @kpk; I took a look at the source code for the like buttons and I think the URL that we're using with the like button is missing the day as part of the date in the URL string.

Hello,
I have the same issue, started few days ago too. All likes in all my blogs have disappeared. They are all back to 0 like. I dont think there is any change in the URL as well, nor that I change anything for my blogs. My site are www.SaintPadrePio.ca and www.DavidBellusci.com.
Please help, thank you!

I have the same problem since September 16. Every Blog post is reset to 0 Facebook likes.
I've tried to 'like' one post of 16.9.2020 again, that worked and the likes are still visible.
All the other posts, even the new ones I posted after 16.9 2020, are still on 0.
I didn't edit anything on my blog, didn't change the post title or the date of a post, didn't do anything else in the editor or changed settings. I only posted 2 new blog posts on September 16.The likes on all the posts were ok then.
Yesterday evening I posted a new Blog message which received 7 'likes'. This morning they were reset to 0!
I hope there is a solution soon to get them all back. Thank you

Our Advanced Support team has opened a bug ticket with our engineers about this, @loveauntieblog - it looks like the URL we are using with the like button code will sometimes be missing a piece of the URL, so it will inconsistently show the like count (the likes are all still recorded, though, so it's just a matter of fixing the URL).

I just left a note on the bug ticket letting them know you are still seeing it. Hopefully it's not too much longer!

We don't have any specific updates at this time, although I can see from the bug ticket our support team has open that our engineers are working on resolving the issue.

This is becoming a real problem on my blog fd81.net. I ran an Authors Showcase from April to September and one of the criteria for selecting the best stories is the number of Facebook Likes, which are still missing! I trust this is being resolved as a matter of urgency. Thanks.

Can we have an update on this bug ticket please Adam? The situation is becoming embarrasing now as it makes my site (and others) look unprofessional. A speedy resolution would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks Adam, this has been dragging on for weeks. To make matters worse, I have had feedback (and have proved myself) that no-one can even record Facebook Likes now!
