Facebook likes disappear
All facebook likes have disappeared in the blog. It has happened before while I changed the http to https, but now they disappeared just like that. How to get them back as 0 likes is quite sad...?

@loveauntieblog Yes, I totally agree. I have just posted a very important blog for tomorrow and expect a lot of visitors, but no-one will be able to register Facebook Likes. This does not reflect well on Weebly as the provider or myself as the blog host. Hope this gets resolved very soon.
@Adam Do you have an update yet?

As the problem is still unsolved and it really disturbs us then I think some kind of refund would be appropriate.

@Adam Over a month ago you replyed:
I'm checking with our advanced support team, @soulsalve and @kpk; I took a look at the source code for the like buttons and I think the URL that we're using with the like button is missing the day as part of the date in the URL string.
If that's the problem than please repair the URL a.s.a.p.
That can't be so hard to do for Weebly is it?
This problem, caused by Weebly, is already taken far too long.
Please @Adam, give us an update when this problem will be resolved. Thank you.

Hi @RobertFear, @loveauntieblog, @kpk, and @MoonshineSim,
Stepping in for @Adam here.
I took a look at the ticket that engineering has for this and it looks like it's still being worked on with Facebook.
We'll be sure to loop back once we know it's resolved but I don't have a timeline to give. Sorry for the frustration this may be causing.

@ashleyc_ Thanks for your reply, but please understand this is more than frustrating. I am losing faith with Weebly as this has dragged on so long. Surely it cannot be that difficult to get resolved, Thanks.

I am having the same issue from the same date!
All likes disappear. It seems that I have not liked the item. And nobody else.
If I like the items and then REFRESH the form, they are all there and appear again.
It seems like a problem in the display of the item at the first time the page is displayed after opening the browser.

Likes are back in my page too. But one thing is strange and it was so before the current problem. I have two Macbooks - one is old and the other one is newer with new OS. I can't like posts in my new computer, in addition I can' t see likes until I have liked the post in old computer.
So, I have to like post in old computer then I can see all likes in new computer as well, until that it shows 0 likes.
For now I can do so but one day probably the old computer will stop working and then it will be a problem for me.

Are the new and old computers using the same version of the same browser, or different?

Mine disappeared last week on a previous post (came back for one day and are gone) and today have disappeared on a more recent post. Has this been addressed or is there still work to be done on Weebly's end?

I haven't seen an update posted on the bug ticket in specific, although that might be the result of work being done on the issue, @CourtneyS.

They are using different versions. I mostly use Safari on the new computer and now I checked with Firefox as well and seems that Safari has the problem. With Firefox everything worked ok.

Now my new posts are not showing likes....is Weebly having this problem again? Is this a recurring issue now? Please let me know if it's something on my end. Thanks!

I wonder if it is some kind of cache error. I saw likes on all of your posts except for the first two listed from November. I liked the second post (about anxiety), refreshed the page, and verified that all of the likes then showed on the post. I left the first one as-is in case this needs to be escalated for additional research.
Can you please reach out to the support team if the issue persists? A rep can verify with the advanced support team if this is still an ongoing bug, or a new issue, and can then escalate as needed.

Zero. Zip. Nada. This is how much the fine folks at Square/Weebly are commited to their customer service and fixing problems that users report.
I see that the OP for this was over a year ago. Sadly the problem persists. The Fb like/share button on our website also vanished and no amount of "redoing", pasting the code and publishing the site per Square/Weebly's support page (https://www.weebly.com/app/help/us/en/topics/add-a-facebook-like-button-to-your-site) seems to matter.
Word to Square/Weebly PTB: why don't you hire developers that actually know how to fix the coding problems that your users bring to your attention? I don't think this particular issue is beyond your capability to fix and you should be embarassed as a company to allow any reasonable problem to go unresolved this long. Or do you only care about spending marketing dollars to get new users to offset those that you must know have finally kicked you to the curb and moved on to another provider because they've had enough of your declining service?
