I would like to remove "I agree to receiving marketing and promotional materials" from the box where new registering members enter their email and password.

Can you go to Store > Checkout and scroll down to the bottom, click the Edit box to the right, and make sure the marketing/promotion option is disabled?

I don't recall if this setting only affects the checkout page or if it also covers the membership popup, but it's worth checking to be sure.

worst thing is that the checkbox in almost invisible and my people dont know that they have to click the checkbox because they dont see it...
