Website editor confusion

I have used Weebly before using an education account which had a very easy to use drag and drop editor in black.  A friend and I decided to create our own website and some how have ended up with an e store weebly site which acts nothing like the simple drag and drop version. Our intention was to create a website with info, blogs ability to download and eventually sell some items.  What has happened?  Can the site we registered for be changed?

Hi @2GCreativity It sounds like you signed up for an account and received our new editor experience. There isn't a way for us to switch you to the old editor, but do you still have access to an older account? You can have up to 10 sites per account if you do. The other option is to try to sign up again but this time make sure to say you are not selling anything at the moment.

Is there a way to delete that account so that I can use the email?  I tried to open a new account but wouldn't let me because the email was tied to the first account.

The easiest way is to scramble the email. Log in and click your name in the top right corner, then Account. Click on Edit Profile and add some gibberish to the email address. I usually add the date, or something easy to remember in case I do want to access the site again. If you are using a gmail address you can add "+example" to the end of the address as well. i.e. [email protected]

No problem, @2GCreativity Looks like you were able to successfully create an account with the classic editor experience. Smiley Happy If you have some time you should check out the new builder, though. It's definitely different, but you may find it easier to use depending on the type of site you are building. Heart
