Making navigation to subcategory and products more user friendly
Hi
I'm hoping someone can help with my problem.
This problem is with the drop down menu from the navigation bar at the top of each page, under 'Products'.
On my website, there will be about six or seven main categories. But under 'Crystal Tumblestones', there will be 38 different subcategory pages dropping down for each group / family of tumblestones.
So, if you click on the 'Crystal Tumblestones' page, it displays all the different subcategories on one page, and each of those are clickable, this takes you then to that family of crystal we have one offer with information about that family of crystals (e.g. Quartz, Feldspar, Calcite, etc.). The customer can then scroll down and click on the individual product page. This is good - if they choose to go this route!
However, if they rather choose to try to scroll down the subcategories, to click on that route - that's where the problem starts.
The problem is, this means that all the subcategory pages have to be displayed under the navigation bar - and it runs on far too long!! It doesn't scroll back up after it has filled the screen, and I think this makes it too difficult for the customers.
Just to remind you, my website is www.phoenix-wings.com
I hope this message makes sense. I just want it to be as easy for my customers to use as possible, so that people stay on my webpage and don't give up!. Please help me! Thanks.
Gillian

Thanks for your post, @Phoenix-wings. The order of your pages in your navigation doesn't need to exactly mirror the structure of your store categories. To keep your navigation a little more succinct, you could add an additional non-clickable page to separate your subpages more. For example, you could add a non-clickable page called "A - E", then put all the categories starting with a - e under that, etc.
