How do I create an Opt in for a Free downloadable file

Is there a widget that allows one to download a free file for leaving their email?  I see for newsletter but nothing to receive a file.

You could do this:

Create a new page containing your free downloadable content. Hide it from navigation/search engines. Set a password for the page. Then, in the automatic reply to the emails, give the sender the page URL (or link) and password.

I also did a comment box (seems extra) and sent to it as a page and a downloadable file link at the bottom. 

I like the password!  The next question is the auto reply- I am just trying to collect their email. 

Tried the subscribe button but it doesn't have a file connect or opt in.
