How do I create alternative versions of a page that show up individually based on membership group?

Hi,

I want to create alternative versions of the same general page so that when a site vistor clicks on the page title in the Navigation Menu (and not just in her My Account pop up window) she will see only the version of the page applicable to her membership group. This user should not see any reference to there being other alternative versions of this page. Is this possible?

For example:

I have an event with a morning session and evening session. I have 3 membership groups. One group will be invited to the morning session only, one group will be invited to the evening session only and one group will be invited to both sessions. When members log into to the site, I'd like for them all to see an "Event" page option on the Navigation Menu, but when a member clicks the "Event" page in the Navigation Menu, they will be directed only to the correct page: "Event" page version 1 (details of the morning session only); "Event" page version 2 (details of the evening session only); or "Event" page version 3 (details of both sessions).

Thank you

I don't think it would be possible to do that right now, unfortunately. What you could do, though, is make individual pages for each group and hide them all from your site navigation. When a member logs in, they'll see the popup showing only the group pages they have access to.

Thanks Adam.  I appreciate the response, but I don’t think your suggested solution will work for my purpose.

I take it there is no way to create those 3 unique pages, keep them all in the site Navigation Menu, but make the ones to which a membership group does not have access invisible to that membership group.  What’s the rationale for allowing site visitors to see the existence of pages to which they are not allowed access?  Just curious.  Thanks again.

To the best of my knowledge, no. I don't think you could do that even with theme customization, although if one of our Community members has accomplished this I'd love to see how they did it.
