Keeping smart quotation marks after publishing

Smart quotation marks in original but when published they change to straight quotation marks. Others in the document stay smart quotation marks. Why does only one set refuse to publish as smart quotation marks?

Is this text you are pasting in, @Kay1? The editor will try and remove any hidden code and styling when you paste in text, so it may convert some of those to regular quotes. We do that because that hidden code can sometimes cause issues on your live site.

All the other smart quotes of copy-&-pasted text stay intact, just in one item of "praise for book" the quotes change to straight--but I will try typing it in and see if it helps!! Thank you!
