How do I access the live HTML code directly so I can edit?

I have a page set up with several photos. I duplicated this page, but I want to delete all the photos. If I do it throught the WYSIWYG interface, I click the X to delete a photo, then the page reloads (and sometimes jumps to a different part), I have to then scroll back to where I was, and delete the next photo.

This would be WAAAY easier if I could just highlight the HTML text and save the file.

Is this not allowed?

Hi, there.

You do have access to some of the HTML/CSS of your site, although I'm not sure if it's the section you need access to in this instance. If you visit the Theme tab, you'll see Edit HTML/CSS at the bottom of the tab (bottom left of your screen).

Thanks,

Erin

that looks like the HTML specific to the theme. I need the page HTML so I can edit the content of the page more efficiently. Why is this not possible?

basically if I can go to each page and click the same tab I'd be golden, but that HTML tab only exists on the THEME page, which doesn't help my case.

Sorry about that! It's just not a feature we have available at the moment. You're welcome to head over to our Vote on Features section of the Community to suggest this to our Product team: https://community.weebly.com/t5/Vote-on-Features/idb-p/IdeaExchange

Thanks,
Erin

This is a bit of a basic feature that is mising isn't it?  I have to admit that if I had realised that you didn't allow this, I would have vetoed using weebly.  Can't you just ftp into the site and use a text editor? I've been doing this for years on other sites but this was chosen by someone else and now I have to edit it.

Hi there!

Weebly is really geared towards those who don't know HTML / CSS. Although some people do, and we have the ability to access some things which you can change via the HTML / CSS editor, however you won't have access to the content HTML, as this is generated dynamically using the built in drop and drag editor.

You're more than welcome to vote on this feature if it's something that you think you would use a lot. We do apologize about the inconvenience.
