Custom/Unique Web Portals for Different Users
I have tried searching this topic with no luck. Maybe I am wording it wrong.
Is it possible to customize the website based on what user is logged in? i.e. If someone from the Recieving Department logs in, I would like the website to be tailored to only showing Shipping and Recieving pages, or a dashboard showing jobs and bids for the Project Managers.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi @kpcollier! Right now the only feature we would have would be to add members to your site to give them access to specific pages on your site. There isn't a way to tailor the site to show different besides letting them view specific members pages. I would take a look at https://hc.weebly.com/hc/en-us/sections/205895567-Members to see if that is something that could possibly work for you instead. Have a great day!

It is possible if you wanted to make individual pages specific for each member. If you have a small number of members that wouldn't be too big of a deal, but I can't see that as an option if you have a lot of members. I'm assuming you're looking for something that would personalize it in a more automated manner?

Yeah, doing it by each user would be a pain. We have around 100 employees.
You are right. Something where I can put this group of users in a pool with a specific web portal, while another group sees something different.
Thanks,
KPC

If your users fall into groups you could use that to determine what page is shown, since you can also make pages specific to groups and add certain members to different groups.

That would be sweet. Our company is currently using Caspio for our database and web applications. Is there a way I can set up groups and not have to have users sign in twice (one time for weebly, another for caspio)?

Also, with the Pro membership, is there a limitied amount of "groups" that I can create?

Hi @kpcollier,
As far as the sign in goes, I think they would still need to login to your other software manually there isn't a way to link the two logins.
With the pro plan we don't limit the number of groups, however it is limited to 100 members on pro. The business plan allows unlimited members.

Thanks MT.
Does creating a group actually show them a custom layout of the website or does it just prevent them from accessing certain pages?
For example, for our Receiving Department, I would like them to log in and be brought to dashboard where they see tabs like Orders Page and Shipping Page along with the normal tabs. If Accounting logs in, their dashboard includes pages like Payroll and Orders, along with the normal tabs everyone else sees.

Also, is there any way to test out Groups and Members before I purchase a plan?

Hi @kpcollier,
The members and groups are for if you want to create pages on your site, and have only certain users to access those pages. If you want the users to access your website editor, you could use Editor settings instead from Settings > Editors.
There isn't a way to try out the members only section without upgrading, but if you do a 1 or 2 year plan, you have 30 days to get a refund.
