 We have a US bank account and we will be charging in dollars but we will be traveling to Costa Rica for a while and we would like to know if we can do in-person sales while we are there with a card reader as long as we are charging in dollars?

you will not be able to use Square while in Costa Rica.  Square does not have Credit Card processing contracts in Costa Rica and the phone will not allow credit card processing due to GPS checks to see if it is a country that Square can accept Credit Cards in.

What if you use a VPN and place US as the IP address? Can you charge in USD even without being physically located (will be using a VPN US IP address) in the US but you linked your square account to your US bank account
