Variation name on invoice does not show on Square Terminal

When an invoice is created the items show variation names as well as notes in the invoice copy when viewed in both the Square Dashboard and the Square App (iOS on iPhone). However, when I look up the same invoice on the Square Terminal, only the notes are displayed, not the variation name.

Is there a setting that controls variation name display on the Terminal? I rooted around but could not find one.

In the interest of clarity, I will add that when viewing an invoice in the Terminal, when I click on View Transactions, instead of showing the Variation Name, it shows the SKU (!)

Thanks for bringing this to our attention @bdevlinor, very interesting.

There isn't a setting that controls variation name display. I wonder if a factory reset will fix things. Have you tried any troubleshooting yet? If so, to no avail, reach out to the Hardware Team to confirm a bug.

Tried the reset with no change. Also opened several invoices to verify that it was not just one invoice having the problem, again with no change.

BTW, "View Transactions" is only available on PAID invoices. I did not realize that until I looked further because the problem came up on a partially paid invoice.

I am submitting this issue to the Square Hardware Team.
