My store categories automatically deleted.
We are running a store and we had like 21 categories. Today, all categories were automatically deleted from the backend. Now, we are not able to access the categories. However, there is no effect on the product. Has anyone faced this issue?
Please let us know if there is any solution to this problem.

Sorry to hear this has happened! When you say they were automatically deleted, was this an accident by a member of staff?
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover deleted categories and they will need to be recreated.

Actually no one delete 20 categories by mistake. I just want to know why so many people are facing this issue? Is there any issue in square?

I had a look and we haven't had any reports of issues with categories @Rayjohn.
I'm afraid there isn't a way for us to check how/when they were deleted either.

Just to clarify things here - are your categories disappearing from your Square Online Overview page? Or are they still there, but disappearing from your website?

My categories are disappeared from the square online. We are not able to find how it happened and there is no way to retrieve the deleted categories.
Is there any way we can check how categories get deleted, because no one can delete more than 20 categories by mistakes.

Hi @Rayjohn, apologies for not clarifying at the start if you experienced this issue with Square Online or the general Point of Sale.
I would suggest getting in touch with our support team directly so that they can file a ticket for our engineers who may be able to shed some light here, they are available on 0800 - 098 8008, 9AM- 5PM, Mon-Fri.

Could you share a screenshot of what your item page looks like vs. what your categories look like on your website? In order for us to look at the backend, we need to see how the issue is appearing to customers.
