Do Weebly and Square stock sync?

Hi,

Quite confusing since the merge from weebly to square - weebly was working okay with my online store and showed out of stock items when inventory was set to zero

 

thought id move on and migrate my sites over to the square design as i presume weebly builder wont be supported forever.

 

ALl good and set up and copied alot over, but spent hours messing with sync settings, stop and starting them. adding items on weebly or via my square items and syncing them over but for some reason it will not work with inventory levels

 

i have some items out of stock, so would like it show out of stuck like weebly used to, or low stock etc. but it wont so i have to remove the items totally which sucks until i can get an answer

Hi @sean648, thanks for flagging and sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. 

 

This sounds like it may be something we'll need to check in with the Square Online / Weebly team directly. 

 

Before doing so, I'd just like to confirm, that if you manually enter or amend stock levels from your Square Dashboard, does it sync over to your Square Online Dashboard?

 

Also can you confirm that from your Square Online Overview page in Items > Item Sync or Shared Settings > Item Sync. - is enabled?

yeah checked all that, even just paid to upgrade on square eventhough i had time left on weebly package to check if it worked

 

square support dont seem to be able to fix it? its a right nightmare having to fully remove items out of stock manually as and when 😞

I'll have our Square Online team take a look at this, just to confirm: 

 

On your published Square Online site, the stock is not being accounted for, so even if an item is out of stock, a customer will be able to purchase it?

Yeah not accounted for

Even if remove track stock and but of of stock online and pos is still able to be purchased online

Hi @sean648, I have heard back from the Square Online team and they have confirmed what I suspected. 

 

Weebly legacy sites do not have any Square sync functionality. The inventory levels are specific only to the Weebly site inventory and communication between Weebly legacy sites and Square accounts only functions for payment processing. 

 

The items will reflect in the site items/item library but any inventory levels would need to be manually entered and tracked separately. 

 

On your Square Online sites inventory tracking is not enabled for any of the items, so any items available for sale will have no specific inventory quantity until entered.

 

I'm very sorry that this information was not made clear before you began the process.
