Hello
I have an item for sale on my online store
It currently has two discount options attached
1. 20% off pre sale- from now until end of oct
2. $5 off per calendar, for bulk orders of 10 or more -from now until end of oct
In addition to these I want to offer our organisation volunteers the item for $5 off, without having to order 10 (so $5 off with a min purchase of 1)
I thought the best way to do this would be create a coupon.
However the coupon will not apply to the basket, it just reverts to the presale discount.
Can you suggest changes to make the coupon work

Thanks for jumping in here to offer some advice, @Provision! 🙏
@nva Just to add to their reply, unlike Square Point of Sale, coupons can’t be used with discounts on Square Online. So in your case, the default behavior is for the 20% discount to apply to the sale.
A possible workaround is to set a sale price for your items instead of using an automatic discount. This way, your coupon can be applied to the sale since the discounted prices are already linked to your online items.

To add a sale price to Square Online follow these steps:
1. From your Square Item Library, select an existing item or create a new one.
2. Under Variations, go to Price and click Options > Add online sale price.
3. Enter a sale price for each variation that you want to update.
4. Select Save when finished.

The reason I believe the discount is not being applied as expected is that the system automatically applies the greater discount amount. Could you confirm if this is the case?

it always applied the 20% off auto discount which is $4.00 discount.
But the coupon would be for $5 off
