Facebook shops

I just started using Square Online and I have had a Facebook Shop already for about a year with all my items showing on it.

Now if I go and Link the two together what will happen with my inventory on Facebook Shops?

Will everything get shown twice? Do I have to empty out all of my Facebook Shop inventory first to prevent duplication?

How should I proceed?

Hi! Welcome to the Seller Community and thanks for posting. To avoid the risk of duplicating all of your items in the Facebook Market, you will need to archive them on Facebook and then link your Online Store to your Facebook account. That way, it's a clean merge.

I hope that makes sense, but please let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi AshleyK

I went into my Facebook Page and deactivated all my items. Then went into Square Online and started the process in the Facebook Shops tab. but when I got to selecting my Facebook page it was marked as Not Eligible and gave the message "Page is associated with a Commerce Account that is not eligible for Shops. Please visit Commerce Manager to disable the account before continuing."
If I go back into Facebook and deactivate the account it will be unusable and can not be reactivated.

I'm not sure how to proceed, will I completely loss my Facebook page and be starting over. No Likes, Followers or Contacts, all starting over??

Help!

Hey @a1allstar!

Thanks for your reply. Would you mind giving our Support Team a call so they can provide further instruction?

So I've been going through the steps to get the Facebook setup done. I deactivated my Commerce Account on Facebook and then started the process again and now can't get past the Instagram part. It won't let me select my account, gives this message " To use Instagram Shopping you must have an established presence on Instagram".

I'll call the support tomorrow when they are open and I have some time. Thanks.

Well the support team contact wasn't really able to help, he did send me some info from Instagram on setting up an business account but I'm sure that is what I already have. But then going through my account settings I saw something to set up shopping so I thought maybe part of the issue so I started that and get a similar message about needing a presence. With the added comment to try again later once my account has more activity. So I guess that is the next step to get this process moving. I have to get more active on my account with Instagram.
