Changing to monthly payments for Square Online

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck moving to monthly payment for their Square Online site? Ours is due to renew in a couple of days but we are only going to be using it for a few more months so don't want to pay for a full year. Square advertise it is possible to just be billed monthly at a slightly higher cost but I can't find any way to actually change it.

I've currently removed the payment method to prevent it renewing at the annual rate.

Customer support are being their usual useless selves and taking days to reply and then giving useless instructions. I don't have enough time to wait another few days for a response and online and telephone support both say unavailable - helpful!

Just wondering if anyone had managed it and could give us a clue where it's hiding?

Thanks

Claire

Hi @ReefPassion , thanks for posting on the Seller Community.

It is indeed possible to subscribe to a monthly plan for a slightly higher fee. If the renewal of your subscription has passed and you've deleted your card on file, you can re-subscribe to the monthly plan yourself:

  1. Access your Online Overview Page.
  2. Click on Upgrade on the top right corner.
  3. Select the plan and the payment option.
  4. Add your card information.

If your annual plan is still active you might not be able to subscribe to a new monthly plan. If that's the case, you will need to contact our Support Team directly. They'll be able to cancel your plan so you can re-subscribe.

I understand you've been having issues getting in touch with us. Our Support Team is available online or by phone on 0800 098 8008 between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Are you getting an error message when contacting the team during these hours ? Note that we also provide support on social media platforms (Instagram, X and Facebook)

Lastly, if you have a moment, I kindly ask that you review our Community Etiquette Guidelines again to help us maintain a productive conversation.
