Will orders print automatically if Square app is not open?

Hi, I use the Square App as well as several other apps to run my store. My Square App is often running in the background for extended periods of time. 

I currently rely on email notifications to bring my attention to orders that come in from online and my other sales channels that in turn come into Square. 

I am considering buying a TSP100 printer, but only if it supports printing orders automatically when my app is not running (i.e. is in the background). 

Anyone know the answer? Thanks!

Unfortunately the app doesn't print incoming orders if it isn't front and center on the tablet. I've found that out the hard way in the past when my printer went crazy when I launched the app. 😬

If you have a spare tablet laying around, you could put the Square app on it and leave it plugged in and open to the Orders screen. That way you'd never miss an order.
