Why is my website missing?

I had a weebly website made and almost ready to publish. But I saw how bad the mobile page looked so I was looking around at other website builders such as wix and squarespace. Now my whole original site is gone!!! Help! It looks like squarespace has taken over and I have nothing. All of my work is gone!!!

Sorry to hear that your website is missing. 😟 Let's see if we can find where it went to get you back on track. A couple of clarifying questions: Did you transfer the domain to Squarespace? When going to the Weebly dashboard, what do you see?

I can find my website now, but I do not need it to be attached to square. I have no need for ecommerce. I was just checking out different websites because I didn't like the way the mobile website looked. But some how some way I got myself involved it it and I don't like it!!

Hi @melanietodd,

If you own a domain through Square/Weebly, all you will need to do is transfer the domain to the new website host. The Square online sites do not necessarily have to be for eCommerce, but they are definitely geared towards it, so I understand where you are coming from.

I hope I can help to offer some further context around the recent changes to Weebly and Square. Weebly was acquired by Square in 2018 and is now part of the Square suite of business tools. 

Weebly and Square have been working together to launch Square Online to make accepting payments online a more seamless experience while providing a modern eCommerce experience for buyers. Part of this change involves a migration to the Square Online platform.
