Transaction email notification information
When a customer makes an online payment, I get a transaction email notification. That’s great. However the only information that this email gives me, is the amount of the purchase and the last 4 digits of the credit card. Is there any way to allow me to configure this email notification to give me more information — like who the customer is (name) and what they purchased (item name)? This would be extremely helpful. Also, perhaps an editable text field of information they might enter at the time of sale, ie special instructions, alt customer,etc. because sometimes the customer purchasing the item may not be the same as the credit card holder. Otherwise it appears I have no way to find out what the person purchased, since it is performed all online with no business associate present at the time of sale. And all our sale items have variable pricing.

I know it is possible to enable email notifications for every transaction/payment made. However I want to know if its possible to configure more information to be shown in the body of the email, e.g the name of the item ordered with its variants and modifiers.

Hey! Thanks so much for reaching out. This is a popular feature request so I've merged your post with an existing thread wanting a similar feature so we can keep them all in one place.
At this time, we still do not have a way to customize what information is included in your transaction emails or your daily emails, but you can always view your reports in live time on the Square Point of Sale App, Dashboard App, or the Dashboard itself.
