Square Appointments: Checkout with the app
Add the “Save” feature in Square POS to Square Appointments. When I create appointments and go to cash out, I have to use my phone. I would like to be able to save the transaction and it show up in Appointments and POS. So when my client checks out they can use my Mini POS device i purchased for the salon.

Hello @Dyniecia! If you create an appointment on one device, you should see it on any other device that you sign in to with the same account details. Your completed transaction history should also 'match' on each device. Is that not what you're seeing? Or perhaps I've misunderstood your post. Please reply to let me know a bit more about this feature request so I can help!

I wrote this post at a time when I had the Square Mini POS in the salon and the Square Appointments app on my phone. Square Appointment's open transactions are not visible in Square POS. Once I go to check the client out, the screen for checkout on Square Appointments looks the same as Square POS accept there isn't a 'Save' button.
When I started a ticket in Square Appointments and I was ready to check the client out at the end of their visit, there wasn't a 'Save' button that allowed me to save the transaction from Square Appointments to the POS so that I could check them out on the Square Mini. So I would have to recreate the ticket in Square POS for them to use the Square Mini. I couldn't close out the ticket in Square Appointments because it would create duplicate payments for the same salon visit.
Since, I have returned the Square Mini because I could not use it to check out Square Appointment transactions. This feature request was to bridge the gap (if at all possible) between the check out page in Square Appointments and Square POS so that I didn't have to recreate the appointment in Square POS nor have to use the Square adapter (plugin) on my phone. Now I'm back to the Square adapter. The Square Mini looked more professional and secure in the salon. I only want to use the Square adapter when I away from the salon providing mobile services.
Does this make more sense?

Thank you for taking the time to explain that. I'm not sure what you are referring to by Square Mini, but I can say that you can check out all your clients from the Square Appointments app, and that you will need to do that because the appointments will not come over to the Square Point of Sale app.
To check out a client from the Appointments app, please follow the steps below. Also, you will be able to see these completed transactions from your Square Dashboard under Transactions.
- From the app, tap on the appointment in your calendar. Note The sale will be associated with the staff member the appointment was booked with.
- Tap Review and Check Out.
- Add any additional items or services > select Charge. Appointment information will automatically carry over from the booked appointment.
- Scroll down on the payment options screen. If your client has a card on file, you will see your client’s card on file along with the card type and pan > tap Charge.
- Confirm the payment by tapping Charge one more time.

I'm talking about the Square Terminal. I know I can see the history of all transactions in both apps actually. When I went to check out a client on the Appointments App. I wanted to save the open transaction and have it appear in the Square Terminal's "Saved" transaction lists. These are the open tickets. That way I pull the open Appointment up on the Square Terminal and the client could check out on the Square Terminal. Without this ability, it made no sense to have the Square Terminal. It's been returned since. I will submit a Feature Request on this matter. Thank you so much for your response.

@Dyniecia thank you for letting me know. I'm sorry that the Square Terminal didn't work out for you, but am happy to know that you were able to return it.
I will share your feedback as well and will post any updates as I get them!
