Hello there,
I want to create a recurring subscription. I want the first payment to be £250, then the rest £30. How do i set this up?

Hey @seller009 thanks for your post 🙂
This would be a feature request at the moment. When you create a plan you have the option to add just one price/item.
It's not possible to later have this changed or manually change the price. I do think this would be really beneficial though so I would suggest filing an official request here so that our product teams can be aware of the interest.
In this case you would need to create two different plans and have the £250 be one time and then a recurring £30.

That’s not a usable solution. Customers are not going to subscribe multiple times to become subscribers. I’m blown away you’ve even suggested it. Variable recurring payments are an industry payments standard.

I want to create a recurring subscription. I want the first payment to be £250, then the rest £30.
This is so a customer can order a valuable product and then have the product automatically sent again every 6 months (with a discount for having a subscription) which is guaranteed income for me.
there is no option at the moment to do this now. This is stupid. It’s easy to display a “you will pay £X today and will be charged £Y each month thereafter”.
If it’s possible to offer free trial subscription months, it’s possible to offer paying more in the first month.
offering Klarna on the first month’s subscription if it’s substantially more than normal months might be useful as well. Obviously offering Klarna on each months subscription would be madness and create a spiralling debt, but just offering it on the first month could help smooth a subscription with a larger first month pricing

Breffni, why did you tell me to create a feature request and then remove my feature request and merge it with the Questions and How to. Now it won’t be seen in feature requests, will it!
