I'm very new to square please explain variations

please explain variations and how to use it? it's recently shown up when we enter new merchandise. however, it doesnt show up every time.

Hey @Mychair1 - Item Variants offer you a way to add variations of your items such as different sizes for merchandise. Item variants will update your inventory if you've enabled inventory management. For example, say you have 150 t-shirts with 50 of each size, you can add a variation of 50 Small, 50 Medium, and 50 Large. If a customer purchases five small t-shirts, it will update your inventory to 145 shirts overall with 45 Small, 50 Medium, and 50 Large. You can learn more at Item Variants or Price Points.
