Hi
I would like to run a report of all website orders within a date range so i can analyse details - however I can only seem to get a zip file of month by month. This makes it very hard to look at the picture as a whole as I book event places sometimes months in advance.
Thanks

Hi, @Scary_fish ! Welcome to the Square Community!
I am going to outline your options below, to avoid getting the large ZIP files.
Options for Running a Date-Range Report of Website Orders in Square
Use the “Orders” Report with Filters (Online Orders Only)
-
Go to your Square Dashboard
-
Click Orders from the sidebar
-
Use the filters at the top:
-
Set the date range you want (custom range allowed)
-
Under Source, choose "Square Online"
-
-
Click Export → choose CSV (Order Summary or Line Items)
This includes:
-
Order date
-
Items
-
Fulfillment type (pickup, shipping)
-
Sales totals
-
Customer name and email (if captured)
Use the “Transactions” Report (For Revenue & Payment Details)
If you need more financial analysis (rather than item detail), go to:
-
Reports > Transactions
-
Set your custom date range
-
Filter by Sales Channel = Online
Then export the full list as a CSV. You can then analyze totals, taxes, discounts, and tender types (credit card, gift card, etc.).
Use the Item Sales or Sales Summary Report (More Visual Breakdown)
-
Go to Reports > Item Sales
-
Choose your custom date range
-
Filter for online orders only under "Sales Channel"
-
Export as CSV for spreadsheet analysis
This is helpful for identifying which products are most popular online and how they performed over time.
Why You’re Seeing ZIP Files Instead
When you use Square's standard data export for certain report types, it often bundles them into month-by-month spreadsheets inside a ZIP, especially if you choose “All Time” or very wide date ranges.
These ZIPs:
-
Help reduce load time and export size
-
But make it harder to view trends across multiple months in one sheet
I hope this helps!
