Hi there,
Does anyone know how to print a receipt (post-purchase) via iPad when using the Terminal for taking payments? Hope that makes sense. Seems easy when you only use the Terminal, but how do you do it when you use the Terminal only to take payments and not to put in the orders?
Here are the options I currently see when I try to produce a new receipt:
As you can see, there is no option to print although the Terminal does have a printer.

Good question, I tested this one out myself.
When you connect your Square Terminal with your Square POS app on your iPad via a device code, receipts can be printed from your Square Terminal for card payments while the transactions are being processed.
It is not possible to then go back and reprint a paper receipt for a previous transaction, as this system is designed to be a dedicated customer display and checkout device only.
To reprint previous transactions you would need to have a third party receipt printer connected to your iPad and Point of Sale app also.

OK. In that case, I hope Square will consider making this possible as we often have customers asking for a receipt after they've completed their purchase. Also, we are using the 'Skip receipt screen' function as the receipt screen slows down service too much and, based on what you are saying, that means that it isn't possible to print receipts at all with the sales flow we've got (that is, without having to install a separate printer). I, therefore, hope that you'll consider making it possible to print receipts on the Terminal after a purchase has been completed.

I’m wanting to do the same. Without purchasing another printer, we have multiple stands and terminals but it just seems silly that we can’t print a receipt later on the terminals. Did you ever find a work around?
