Buying a Japanese device to be sent to UK for set-up?

Hi 

Has anyone ever purchased a Japanese SQUARE terminal or kiosk from the JAPAN store and had it shipped to the UK? If so how did you do it? It looks like I need a Japanese address?

I need to buy and configure a JAPAN device before sending back to Tokyo for use.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Community! 

As Square’s hardware is only approved for use in the country for which it is intended, I don't believe it would be possible to have a Japanese registered device sent to an address outside of Japan. For additional context, you can learn more about the country-specific hardware regulations Square must comply with, from our International Availability article. 

I will just confirm this assumption with a Japanese colleague to be sure. I'll also check which retailers we partner with in Japan that might support international shipping. For example, in the UK market we partner with a number of re-sellers as you'll see here.
