Online Store: Can I Add a Reviews Page?

Hi all,

I'm trying to set up my online website and i was wondering if there was a way to add a page where customers can upload their review and others can see them. I'd like to do this through the website, not externally.

Is there a way to do this and if so, how can i do this?

I see the appeal of it being automatic, but that also makes it open to a lot of abuse.

You could (as I've done) set up a contact for that's designed to get quotable reviews that you can then cut & past into a single page or pick out the best for different parts of your site. It doesn't take long to do, unless you're hoping for 100's of reviews in a short space of time.

Hi @Lyssy, thank you for reaching out!

With Square Online Store, you can request product reviews but these will be hosted on the actual item pages itself. I don't think there is a way to have a completely separate testimonial page at the moment, but I can definitely flag this to our Product team!

You can find out more about requesting Product Reviews here

Thanks for getting back!

That helps for now but the addition to a review page would be great too :).

Also, does anyone know if reviews are only eligable for certain payment plans or can you have them on your website regardless?

Hi @Lyssy,

I believe you have to upgrade to a paid plan to show your reviews on your website. Not certain but I believe you would have to upgrade to the £19 paid plan. If you click on edit your website you will see an upgrade button and from there you would be able to see what plan you would have to upgrade to in order to publish reviews on your website. Hope this helps let me know if there is anything else you are unsure about.

Does this work for the Restaurant/Food Online Store as well? I have not seen a store with reviews using the Online Food Order layout. I think I will be using external review tools but it would be nice for people to directly leave feedback on the site to increase traffic.

Has there been an update? All the reviews are in one place for us to approve or not, please do create a widget so that all approved reviews can be shown in one list publicly. I don’t want to employ an external review company when my customers are already reviewing through my site.

Hi @ClaireTitmus, thank you for your post! We don't have an update for this feature request at the moment. Right now, if you have upgraded to a paid plan to request reviews from customers, these will shown on the individual product's page rather than on one individual review page.

A workaround would be to add the section Customer testimonials to a new page on your site (or even on your homepage) to showcase customer's reviews.

The only issue with this is that you'll need to manually update and input the review, rather than it being pull automatically from product reviews that have been left on your site.

Thanks for the recommendation!

I may have to give that a try, sounds like the best solution for what i'm after.
