Inventory help for items as multiple products...

OK...I have a restaurant/gift store so we aren't using square for restaurants, or square for retail...just the generic square system. Here's my issue: I sell cookies...we also sell lunch boxes with cookies in them. When I sell a cookie, the inventory count is correct...however, when I sell a "lunch box" my cookie count immediately is incorrect. Is there a way to have my cookie inventory update correctly without going in to manually update it every time I sell a lunch box?

I have the same problem with our biscuits and breakfast sandwiches. We sell biscuits, but we use those same biscuits to make our breakfast sandwiches. When I sell a biscuit, my inventory count immediately updates...but I have to go in and manually update it every time I sell a breakfast sandwich.

Hi @mikefroese - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜Š

We recently launched a Beta Program for the ability to sell "bundles" with predefined components that are assembled to order. These bundles donโ€™t have their own count of inventory but instead, availability is determined based on the availability of components. Bundles are created within Square Dashboard. You can decide when creating a bundle which components and how many go into the bundle, and what the price of the bundle is. You can sell these bundles in-store through Square for Retail and Square Point of Sale, or online through Square Online.

If you are interested in testing out this feature, you can join our Beta Program here.

This sounds like it would be exactly what I'm looking for. I'll check out the beta area for sure! Thanks!
