Customizing font size on receipt

Hi, I would like to ask if I could change the font size of the custom text section of the receipt.

I've looked everywhere. Seems that this has been a request to Square for many years but not a single of their clowns has been able to address it. On top, the receipts that come out of my square printer don't look like the one in the setting page, not even remotely.

Is that so hard for you guys to make the fonts big enough so the customers can actually read it???

At this time, the font customization for receipts is still a feature request. I understand you're feeling frustrated that this feature isn't available yet. However, note that implementing new features can be a lengthy process that involves a lot of cross-team work and coordination. We'll be sure to let you know once this is available though.

Yeah right. It's 2024, people worry a lot more "etiquette" than actually doing the job. This feature has been requested for YEARS so cut the crap about the time it may take. Changing the font size on a printer shouldn't be that rad to do but yeah, let's focus on the "community guidelines" so no one has his little fragile feelings hurt, that's far more important than actually fixing problems...

I agree with your post. This feature should be easy to implement as many other less sophisticated mobile ordering platforms can change the printer font size. Years is a long time to wait for a basic feature such as this. It shows that the people who design the Square software have no real-world experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

They need some boots on the ground to actually see what is going on in the daily operation of a restaurant. I assure you that big franchise restaurants like McD's have their systems optimized with the smallest detail to improve readability and speed of communication between tasks during the order chain.

Add another user that requests the ability to increase font size on receipts for the kitchen. A lot of workers don't have the best eye sight. Also, if a kitchen staff can read the ticket faster, they can work faster.

We just got our Square register about two weeks ago and are really surprised that font sizes can't be modified on kitchen receipts. Our staff complained to us within the first day of using the system. 

Also, we are hesitant to move away from our old POS system because of the font size issue.

I was checking for an update on this feature. There is currently a printed ticket customization beta running for sellers using RST on Android. Let me know If you fit the criteria, I can either pass your information to the team or you can email them directly at [email protected].

what about the Square POS with iPad and cashdrawer setups? Our staff is struggling with this. A friend also running a restaurant said the kitchen staff can't read the order tickets ans fonts are so small... We run a motorcycle shop and print invoices from the PC app but everytime we use the Square terminal to print a receipt for a customer they complain, especilly the formal receipts... PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!

Unfortunately, the Beta testing is only available for sellers using Square for Restaurant on the Register or Terminal in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland and Australia, at the moment.

I understand how other businesses using POS would benefit from this feature. I'll pass your feedback on to the relevant team, and I'll be sure to let you know if the Beta is released in Japan.
