Why is there no option to text or email a receipt at checkout? I have not opted out.

Why am I not getting an option to send or text a receipt at checkout?  I am testing my new system and my card is linked and I have not opted out.  I have even tried another card and still no success.  Is there a setting that I am missing?  I used this same card I am testing my system with this morning at a coffee shop and got the email automatically sent to me.  Thanks!

once you have entered your email or phone number at any establishment using square you won't have to do it again.  that system knows your information based off the credit card used and will automatically send it to whatever email or phone you have entered before.

My receipt option doesn't even come up for any customers since I updated with the app store. I have not changed any settings and still no receipt option give.. and it won't let me even if I go into activity and click "new receipt" I get a message that says remove card from chip reader. It's already removed...so not sure why it thinks it is. any suggestions? I don't see anything in the support center that addresses this.

Hey @urnmywy, that sounds very weird.

 

Have you tried deleting and re-installing the App? Also is the operating system on your device up to date? 

 

If this issue persists, I recommend reaching out to our Support Team

Yes the app is up to date, and so is the operating system on the Ipad.  I will try the reinstall, and go from there. Thanks
