Weebly not providing product description to Paypal also no address since paypal upgrade
Spoke to Weebly at length about this and they blamed the "new" paypal" API. Contacted paypal and they say no change to API. I am fustrated with Weebly support. Anyone else having this issue? Mine occured on 9-16 when I was forced to do and upgrade to paypal even though I already had a paypal business account.

At the moment there is no address and nothing showing what the customer has ordered, this is worrying because then we have no seller protection with paypal. Paypal say we must have the customers address to be protected, I have already been scammed once and paypal didnt protect me against a charge back for this very reason. It really does need sorting as a matter of urgency. I am beginning to think I should have gone elswhere for my website.

This just happened when we upgraded the Paypal connection as well. Now we can no longer use Paypal multi order shipping, adresses and product info no longer uploads into pay pal and I'm assuming we no longer will have seller protection due to not having confirmed addresses/label printing happen through paypal.. No idea how we will continue using this website.

Opened a phone case yesterday which they closed after I was sent to Paypal. See reply below. Then I opend a case on the support center last night but no action yet. I am now on hold for 14 minuntes and waiting. The more of you who have this issue, the more likley we can get some action. The alternative is to get on Twitter and start complaining.

Hi Christopher, Thank you for contacting Merchant Technical Services. I have tested your websites and I do no see the shipping information is being passed over to PayPal. Since Weebly is hosting the shipping information page/fields, the information needs to be passed over together with the item details. You aren't the only one thinking about deactivating!
This is just completely unacceptable. I've already been pretty much dormant from listing new products for the past three months because of issues with everything rearranging, and now all of this. I am seriously considering going elsewhere -- this just isn't worth it. I don't even know if I'm going to break even at this point and that REALLY upsets me. With all of the work I've put into this site for TWO YEARS, I expect it to at the very least function properly. I'm just flat out disgusted right now.

Hey everyone! The updates for this are now live, and product, shipping, and tax information will now be sent to PayPal. PayPal is having an issue with email delivery right now, but this is unrelated to Weebly (just so you're aware since you'll be looking at any future PayPal transactions).

I tried Square as an alternative to paypal as we happen to have an account. I didnt realize it was never integrated - I had never tried before. Because of this paypal issue at the moment I am having to build a store external to weebly. I am really dissapointed in our lack of ability to do any sales through our website.

@MPPP What do you mean by Square never being integrated? I had used Square prior to the release of Weebly 4 and had no trouble.
@Adam - Is Square an issue as far as it being integrated?

There shouldn't be any problems using Square as a checkout provider; I don't recall exactly when we added it but it's been another checkout option for a while now.

This is very upsetting. I contacted paypal and they said it's a WEEBLY issue, not a PayPal issue

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER UPGRADE ON 9/20 WHEN I UPDATED MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT ON THEIR SETUP AFTER RECEIVING AN EMAIL FROM WEEBLY. NOW ALL OF MY ORDERS ARE COMING THROUGH WITH NO SHIPPING ADDRESS AND NO INFORMATION ABOUT PRODUCT ON PAYPAL PAYMENT AND I AM UNABLE TO CREATE SHIPPING LABELS IN PAYPAL MULTI ORDER SHIPPING TOOL BECAUSE PAYPAL SAYS THEY DON'T SHIP FOR ITEMS SUCH AS THIS!
I HAVE OPENED A SUPPORT ACTIVITY IN WEEBLY WITH NO REPLY AND AM NOW ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR WAITING FOR A REP ON THEIR PHONE SUPPORT!

Just got off the phone with Paypal and in addition to it being annoying that the new weebly paypal integration caused a glitch that makes payments complete without the shipping address coming through from Weebly, but since there is no shipping address on file in paypal, the seller is not covered under seller protection for that transaction. Paypal said it is because they base the seller protection on the item being shipped to the address on the order and if the order comes from Weebly without a shipping address, they can't cover it!
I spoke with Brodie at Weebly (a customer service rep) and he assured me that they are aware of the issue and are working on it, but if you are having this issue- please don't just wait for them to fix it- submit a help request so they know it is a problem with more than just a few people! This needs to be fixed before it becomes a major issue with paypal payments not being covered for us!
