Anyone using the Ecwid app for e-commerce?

It appears that Weebly just doesn't have some of the functionality I need in e-commerce, so I'm looking at adding the Ecwid app. Anyone working with it on a weebly hosted site? What has been your experience?

Thanks!

Sylvie

Yes, that's the one. I need some functions that apparently Ecwid provides - in particular emails to team members responsible for different order fullfillment, and as far as I can tell, Weebly's built in e-commerce requires that we log onto the website to check orders incoming. That won't work for my team, who are all volunteers. Including me Smiley Wink

Thanks,

Sylvie

Hi, @sylviemcgee,

This is Matt from Ecwid team. How can I help you with Ecwid? Do you have any troubles installing the app or setting up the store?

HI, Matt,

Mainly just trying to get some idea of the additional functionality available through Ecwid as compared to the Weebly built-in ecommerce option.

Would be great to (1) see a side by side comparison table/chart; and (2) hear from users who are using Ecwid app on a Weebly site.

Thanks,

Sylvie

Does Ecwid integrate into Weebly?

Hello TechIntl! We do have Ecwid available in the App Center with Weebly, which makes it much easier to integrate than the raw code, as you can place it much like any other element.

I just added Ecwid to my Weebly site. I have too many option choices for the weebly store to handle and it seems Ecwid could be the solution. I sell soaps in multi packs and my customers get to choose the flavors among 35. Much like companies that sell gourmet cupcakes or donuts where they have to sell a minimum of 6 for the shipping/handling costs and they have to offer a build-you-own-flavors option to customers. I like Weebly a lot for the site, but the shopping cart is SEVERELY lacking.

We'll see if this Ecwid works!

I am just opening my ecommerce store and have been in contact with weebly 5 times by email but have nerver recieved an answer. I am using Paytrail via Ecwid in Finland. For some reason the only 2 payment options i have in my weebly payment gate is Stripe and Paypal. How can I add my chosen payment option? I have been struggeling with this issue for 3 weeks. I also purchased the largest weebly monthly package and still no help on this. I cant even open my store.

regards Jasmine

Square

Hi Jasmine. 👋

I initially moved your post over to this thread, however, I did not realize you are using the new Square Online editor. You won't be able to use Ecwid with the new editor, but you are welcome to sign up for a new Weebly account if you would like to see if the app mentioned in this thread works for you.

When you sign up for the new account make sure to choose the option that you are "not selling" and "just need a website"
