Hi @appliedks,

The layout suggestion options you choose from at the start of your build are examples of the elements that you can add from the build palette on the left of the editor.

You should be able to drop and rearrange almost all the build elements to recreate whatever you're after. Is there something missing from your footer that you can't add? If you click in the footer section you should be given the ability to edit the footer and its contents. This includes adding elements, moving them and deleting ones you no longer require.

Cheers, Mark

I'm having the same problem with the footer.  I picked a layout to see what it would do. Don't like. Want to try something else, but no way to get back to virgin layout picker. The whole advantage of layout suggestions is that they offer good options that I might not think of. I don't want to start from scratch.

Related question:  Is there a way I can get my top nav menu to ALSO show up in the footer. That's what I want. The menu layout I tried is nothing but dumb text. Maybe a plugin/app?

What I would do is drag a spacer element to the footer, then just delete everything else that was added when you chose a layout. That should prevent the "choose a layout" prompt from coming up.

There isn't an automated way to add your navigation to the footer, though you could probably do it through some theme editing. That would require a good understanding of html and css, though.

Hi

You just have to remove all the contents from the footer and then save the changes. After that you will be able to select a new footer.

There is no way to select the footer element once it's placed. Used to be able to do it but not now. This is not working.

Which of your sites are you having trouble with, @Kathleen1?

I got it worked out. I was looking for a way to delete the entire footer. Instead, I had to delete each ELEMENT inside the footer. Once I did that, I was able to select a different footer layout. It wasn't clear to me, and I'm guessing it isn't clear to others, so you may want to clarify that in your documentation. Thanks for getting back to me though! ~Kathleen

Oh, ok. Glad that you got that figured out, and thanks for the feedback!

This is not working. I removed all the elements from the footer layout, and saved the changes. But it's still not providing me the option to select a different footer layout, and I want to choose one of the pre-designed layouts. Where/How? The footer layouts should be a drag 'n drop... or are they? I can't find anything.

Would you address and update this in your Help Center "How Do I Remove or Change the Weebly Footer?" pls? This issue's ongoing, and 18 months old, yet Weebly has hasn't ammended this for their customers. Thanks.

It looks like there was still a spacer element in the footer. If you click on the footer on your site in the editor you should now see the popup to choose a footer layout, @DaffyDuck.

Does this solution (deleting all the elements) also enable you chose different background colors for the footer section?

No, this would just remove the elements @TH-BEC.

I am having the same issue, and although I now deleted all the elements, all I get is "drag elements here" ?

Is there an easy way to redo the footer? Or get footer elements?

When I add elements they simply come out unbalanced on mobile view..

Hi @LisabetCampbell Welcome to the Community 🎉

Can you try saving the changes after you delete all of the footer elements? You will be prompted to select a layout once you click on the footer to edit again.
