cannot edit site

I have been having issues when I try to edit my site, the site editor loads but is completely blank, the whole page frozen up.  For some reason when I visit my page in another tab my drop down menus are not working.  This makes me think that there is some plugin or service that is not working properly on my PC do you have any suggestions what that may be?

Hello @AbelBiro

What are you current security settings within your java control panel?  Click here to find out how to find the java control panel in windows. Once you find the control panel you can click here to view security settings for blocked applications within your browser. Did you update this computer to windows 10? There have been a whole slew of issues with the upgrade to windows 10. I have had quite a few on my computer at home.

Yes I did update to windows 10, had similar issues with weebly before that though, back then I couldn't even log in, none of the bottons on the weebly home page worked for me. so seems to be something similar.  Damned if I know what though

Hi @sand123,

I was able to access your site editor. Are you still having issues? If so, can you tell me what browsers, internet connections, and devices you've tried in your troubleshooting so far?

Hello,

I used another background so it was working. I prefer my old background, so I use it again.

The pages cannot be open. I tried to change them, to add new pages, and it is the same, cannot open any of them. Inly the "home" one works.

None of the pages can be open, and it is a website for a business, so it is very stressful Smiley Sad Smiley Sad Smiley Sad

@sand123, I am not seeing that behavior from the sites I'm looking at in your account. Can you give me more information, either here or in private message? What site and what theme are we talking about, and is it a custom theme? Also, what steps in troubleshooting the browser, device, and internet connection have you taken?

Thanks @sand123 - I'm emailing you a link to our video capture tool so that you can record a screencast of what you're experiencing, I'll take that to our senior techs for investigation!

Hello,

I receive a message telling to record it.  I do not know how to do it, can you just tell your colleagues the website is: www.vipfrenchnannies.com

Can you help in an easy way?

@sand123, we have certainly tried, however, we cannot recreate the error on our end. The good news is, the site appears publicly, it's live up and running online. But I cannot account for what you're experiencing, especially if we have no video capture from you to see it.

Hi,

@sand123, ah, there was the missing detail... thank you for specifying! So it's not a site editor issue or the site not showing up online, it's a problem with the links... investigating now, and will follow up via email ticket. Smiley Happy

@sand123 you have quite a bit of text at the top in what is supposed to be a field for only a short phone number. There were also extra line breaks below the last line of text. This was breaking the navigation in the header. I've deleted the extra line breaks and republished, and the menu should work now, even with all that text! But you may consider moving that info to a new area within the body.

Sorry to hear that, @fifarhang. What happens when you try to open a site in the editor?

Hi, I'm having the same problem. Using Firefox but tried Explorer and Chrome as well.

I did the Chrome > right hand click > console and found 3 errors:
Uncaught Syntax Error: Unexpected Token (this is in red with a little cross in front of it, the two others just with an exclamation mark)
Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys

Google Maps API warning: SensorNotRequired

Any of those related to the problem?
