Why has lightbox suddenly stopped working on my site?

Lightbox has been working effectively on my website blog now ever since I started it in early 2018. I've found the feature very useful for displaying images in posts. Suddenly and inexplicably, this feature appears to have stopped working on my laptop (I've tried it in both Chrome and Firefox, same result). I've also tried it on another desktop computer, same result. Now, when you click on an image, it opens the URL image file up in a new page rather than simply showing it in a blow-up box (as it used to do). However, weirdly, it still seems to work correctly in a browser via my iPhone. 

I've not knowingly made any changes and have been posting in the usual way. The lightbox option is selected for all images (I've checked and double checked this).

Hi @joshrjones The light box is working properly for me. When I click on the first image, it expands on the same page (light box) with a little "x" in the corner to close it. What you are describing does sound like odd behavior.. Can you click on this link and see if your browsers are up to date?  https://www.whatismybrowser.com/
