I hope you had a great week. For this round of Weebly Idea of the Week, I'd like to highlight @Franzen's idea: Please allow header videos to play on mobile devices.

Video headers can be great tools for engagement on sites. If you think video headers should be enabled on mobile devices, such as phones and tablets, please vote for the Weebly Idea of the Week!

YES!!!

This is so needed! I run a Video Production company and my entire site ethos is based around the moving image.

That fact that over 80% of my viewers can't even see my video headers in motion is super self defeating.

So weebly, do you have a launch date annoucement for when video headers will be compatiable with mobile and tablet devices?

Can you guys hurry up and put in a ticket for your developers? It's been over 6 months since you commented...I think a PM should easily be able to escalate this task into the developers task list and have it executed within 6 months don't you think? 

If you need a PM, let me know, cause I am a certified PMP who would love to be employed internally to help support necessary changes to keep up with the competition. Not to be mean, but Squarespace, Wordpress, and multiple others already have this code embedded for their users....

We do have a ticket with our product team with this, although as I'm sure you're aware you sometimes have to prioritize one feature over another based on available resources, etc. I agree with you that this seems like a fairly basic feature to add. Thanks for your feedback, @melaniemarshall!

I'd love this to happen to! Just jumped through hoops creating a great video for our website only to see it not show up on my phone. Now my business partner wants to scrap it entirely. Please let us know when this happens. Thank you!

I'm in the same boat. We just created a great video for the header on my site and are really bummed that it can't be seen on the mobile. The other issue is if I create a video area within the header, that might play on mobile, but it doesn't have the looping feature. 

I would like to vote a thumbs up on this feature too please.

Agreed but they don't listen to their user base. I mean the chat guys do what they can but the makers of this site provider have done nothing to address the complaints on their mobile devices as if this wasn't 2018...

Hi all, I'm hoping my comment bumps this up in the priority list. I agree, video working in header on mobile device would be a major plus. Please let us know once this feature is available. 

Since this feature is not yet available I wanted to see if anyone has any custom programming code to implement this.
