You will want to use a custom theme to have a background video. You can also do it with custom coding as well. I just want to also let you know that if you decide to use a custom theme purchased from a 3rd party, you will want to make sure they have reputable support for their product. We do not provide support for custom themes at Weebly if something were to go go wrong with it.

This really easy now with Sections and Flexible Headers. See this guide in our Help Center for instructions:
One thing you may want to make sure of, you'd want a theme with the Sections update in order to make that video background change. Are you using one of the current themes now?
Any of our new themes should work. You can check out the details in the Theme menus if you prefer, though at this point I believe we have all the current themes updated for Sections.
I've read that you can't just change themes without having to basically rebuild your whole site. Is that true? If I want a video background I don't want to have to change my theme just to get that option. Is that what you are saying you have to do? Thanks the the help!
Hey there rturner79! You certainly shouldn't have to rebuild your whole site while changing themes. You would need to have a Sections-enabled theme, which would be the newer set of theme updates. Is there a particular site you're worried about?
here's my 2 cents. Perhaps make a copy of the site and change THAT one's theme and just test out everything. ( if it looks good just use that page alone from there for the music page and point to it from your original site..? open in separate window...? )Maybe you can just do a button/link to youtube channel. I think visitors might appreciate the OPTION of music. Also among the youtube videos put in one YOU produce that is basically an ad. ..give 'em an incentive to listen carefully ( a promo code at the end of the ad offers them a chance to win something etc... - bribe - 'em!). I wish I could tell you to put a link to my online radio group...but it's hardly going...but that would be cool. In exchage maybe someone like me could mention your product (esp if it's online production of any sort graphic stuff, editing or yor a musician who wants to get heard..) in my 'cool stuff' announcemnts on my channels for instance, or list your webpage (if it's a free one that won't get taken down) in my new virtual mall. I hope to have video in my pages, but there doesn't seem to be much advice on that here - or any how to's. Very weird. Weebly should want their free sites to look stupendous ( ...and SOUND stupendous..) 'cause that drives sales for all, and when we (their clients) make money we invest in stuff like weebly premium to get the most out of every click...I mean weebly self-builders are the cream of that crop right there. They should be more savvy and kiss our asses a little more, maybe. lol best of luck
