Video Thumbnail not displaying

Hello!

I'm having trouble with my video thumbnails not displaying anywhere  on my site.  What am I missing?  I've tried different videos and downloading multiple times on these pages: chispaproject.org/escuelas, chispaproject.org/southwest, and chispaproject.org/5000books

I also saw that Adam from Weebly suggested to someone else that they add the suggest to have custom video thumbnails on the "Vote on Features" board.  Has this been done?  Otherwise, I'll post it because I'd love that.

Thanks!

Sara

Hey there,

It looks like something in your custom coding may be causing that to happen.. When I add the video to a test site on a standard Weebly theme the preview shows up. Do you remember what changes you made to the html?

Please disregard the white dots! That is a snow falling effect on the page I tested on. Forgot it was on there! Smiley Happy Also, here is the link to the vote page. I definitely recommend adding your support. https://community.weebly.com/t5/Vote-on-Features/Custom-Video-Thumbnail/idi-p/9701

Hi Bernadette!

I didn't do anything to the HTML because I wouldn't know how.  😕 I just uploaded it via the regular Weebly interface for uploading videos.  Any other thoughts?  It's happened to all my videos!

Thanks!

Can you try switching to a standard theme temporarily and re-publishing?

I've a similar problem. Some videos show a picture while not playing and some are just blank with a play button. It looks awful and I also just upgraded to pro to be able to display videos to members.

I responded to one of your other posts, but one thing you can try doing is editing the video so that the beginning of the video has a few seconds of a still image (like a logo). It's not possible to choose the thumbnail for the video, but editing the beginning of the video will give you a little more control over what displays.
