Spacing problems with blogs

Hello!

I'm having some spacing issues between individual blogs on the blog main page.  You can see them here: http://www.sauvagerepublic.com/insights or attached below.

The first two blogs posted okay.  Then the 3rd forced the others to tabbed in, and now the 4th blog forces the others to tab in even more!

It also seems my right side banner and blog feed are 'stuck' on the 2nd blog post.

Lastly, there is not much / if any spacing between each of the individual blogs.  For example, the Twitter and Facebook share buttons are directly on top of the title for the following blog.  Any suggestions how to increase the spacing between blogs for better readability?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you have some broken code in one of your blog posts (sometimes the sidebar can do that, too). Did you paste in your text for your newest post? It looks like you might have - that can sometimes bring in hidden code that breaks things.

Open your newest post in the editor, select any text that you pasted and click the "Tx" button on the text editing toolbar. This will strip out any hidden code and styling. Restyle your code how you like, then update the post and re-publish your site.

Hello Adam,

Thanks for you quick reply.  So I followed your intructions for the most recent post.  But the blog still looks the same.

I then tried to click into the other posts (so I could apply the "tx" feature to them all), but now the blog will not let me enter any of the other posts.  Instead, it takes me to the most recent post.  So I can not update any of the other blogs?!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂

How attached to that newest post are you? One quick solution would be to delete the post. I'm still pretty sure there's some broken code in it somewhere, since that's been the cause of this for people in the past.

Hi Adam,

So I'm not so attached to them.  I have them in word (which as you mentioned, might be the root of my problems).

But for starters, I simply tried to change the post date of the blog - - pushing it down the list so I have a 'new, newest' post.

The same issue happens.  It's as if the entire blog on the backend is one image with a single link attached to it.  See the screen shot below.

I guess I could restart from scratch, but I don't want this to happen again.

I contacted Weebly directly but they don't know what is going on either.  They blammed the plug-ins but I only have 3 additional plug-ins on the site (newsletter and such) Nothing too fancy...

Thank you in advance for sticking with me and helping to solve this issue!

It's definitely a broken code issue - it's mostly a matter of finding what it is that's doing it. Usually when a single post is over taking things no matter where it is, it's something within that post in my experience. If there aren't any Embed Code elements in the post, then pasted text is often culprit (particularly if it includes lists with the pasted text).

The best way to avoid it in the future is to paste your text into a plain text editor, then copy the text from that before pasting. I believe Notepad in Windows can be converted to plain text.
