Something wrong with weebly lately? It's mid Aug 2020

Hi @Adam ,

Is there something wrong with weebly lately?  Loading of the site editor and pages are incredibly slow and causing frustration.

I'm on 1g fibre broadband with a static IP, in SIngapore.

We aren't currently experiencing any issues which should directly cause something like that. I'm guessing it's some kind of temporary issue between you and our servers. That should resolve itself without any action on your part, although if you continue to see that let us know.

Yes you are currently experiencing issues like that because me and several other website owners have been contacting Weebly about it on a daily basis. Chrome and other browsers no longer support Adobe Flash as of the end of August 2020. Weebly needs to update their servers to htmls

Hi Adam,

When I used google or cloudfare DNS, on another non chrome browser, it works fine.

When I used the dns provided by my internet service provider

202.73.51.100 and 132.147.133.100

Weebly can't load.

It definitely sounds like an issue with your ISP, or at least how requests are being routed using your ISPs DNS. Hopefully that's just a temporary issue that will resolve itself.

Build site editor, pages, and settings nothing but blank page. Cannot even access settings to download my website so I can go to a different webhost because I have been contacting weebly on a daily basis for almost two months about this same issue. I have changed computers, internet, cleared browsers, powerwashed my computer and nothing helps. It is some kind of glitch but Weebly just pretends it doesn't exist. Most likely it is being caused because Weebly still uses Adobe flash and Chrome and the other browsers are shut down Adobe flash at the end of August 2020 because it is unsecure and switching to html5 but weebly has not caught up with the times yet.

I'm experiencing exactly what you had written about.

Thank you for putting my frustrations into words revpennydean! Has there been any word from Weebly about the issues with Site Editor never loading and/or it loading a blank page? Weebly Support seems nonexistant. UGH.

There are sometimes different causes for why you might see that, @jprejean. Which site are you seeing that with in your account?

All 3 sites in my account, same issue, Site Editor not loading. Tried on different browsers (Chrome & Edge). Also, yesterday I had trouble logging into the https://www.weebly.com/login.  I was able to finally login, after hours of trying, and the Editor worked fine for about 15 minutes and I was able to delete old content and publish but when I wanted to add new content, the Site Editor went back to the "blank page" problem, never loading. Same issues happening today.

We've had reports of intermittent ISP issues from various users. You can verify this by using a different internet connection (like mobile data) to test. If you are able to open the editor using a different connection you will want to reach out to your ISP to have them test where the connection is failing. Our editor users a different url (editmysite.com) so it is very common to be able to load the dashboard, but have trouble loading the editor.
